CSAB NEUT Counselling 2020, Dates, Eligibility, Process and Seat Allotment

CSAB NEUT Counselling 2020, Dates, Eligibility, Process and Seat Allotment

Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) is a spot round counselling for NITs, IIITs and GFTI's. When seats in these colleges are left unfilled then there are spot round counselling’s to fill those unfilled seats. It is totally separated from the JoSAA Counselling and you can participate in both the counselling’s if you want to. There are high chances in the spot rounds that you will get good colleges with low rank. As every year after the JoSAA counselling, there is a special seat allotment round known as CSAB which happens not because they want to, but since students fill IIt’s, NIT's , bits, MIT and many more colleges. So i if a student who is allotted in suppose say NIT Allahabad gets BITS, and he leaves the seat after the round 7 of JOSAA , so that seat will become vacant . Like this many other seats will become vacant. And if colleges run on vacant seats it's a loss of those students who are in the waiting list. And it's unfair too. To fill these kinds of many vacant seats and those who made mistakes in their earlier joSAA counselling, this particular CSAB counselling is held. So, like every year, this year also the CSAB rounds will take place.

Through CSAB, candidates are selected for admission in the first year of B.E/B. Tech and B.Arch./B.Plan programmes. The CSAB conducts the process for three channels- CSAB NEUT(for North-Eastern states and Union Territories), CSAB UT (for supernumerary seats in the Union Territories) and CSAB SFTI (Self-financed technical institutes). The registration process for all the three channels will open separately in online mode.
