National Institute of technology also Tiruchirappalli popularly known as NIT Trichy is a government-driven technical institute established in 1964 as a regional engineering college. In 2002 it was declared as National Institute of technology. The institute is recognized also because of the amazing placement potential for the students. It is among the top NIT Colleges in placement. Each year more than 250 international companies visit the institute for campus placement and recruit more than 95% of the students participating in the placement. The institute is approved by AICTE and NIT Trichy cut-off for undergraduate students is based on JEE Main scores.
Founded by former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, the National Institute of Technology Warangal also started as a regional institute initially. It was the first National Institute of Technology established in the country. Having a great infrastructure and more than 100 labs, the place reflects its experience in every deck and corner.
