JEE Advanced 2021 Exam Date (Out), Change of Criteria for JEE Advanced

Dates for JEE Advanced 2021 has been announced by Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’. The examination will be held on 3rd July 2021.  IIT Kharagpur will conduct the JEE Advanced exam 2021 as a computer-based exam across various test cities in 7 IIT Zones and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will release the JEE Advanced 2021 schedule soon.

Apart from this, the education minister has scrapped 75% eligibility criteria in class 12 (for reserved category, it was 65%) from JEE Advanced and allowed third attempt for it.

Candidates who missed JEE Advanced 2020 can appear in JEE Advanced 2021 without qualifying JEE Main 2021 according to JAB. As a result, the number of candidates for the final stage of the exam is going to increase. Other than announcing dates for the JEE Advanced 2021 exam, Union Education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal is also likely to "speak on issues raised by students like an increase in the number of attempts for those who appeared for JEE Advanced 2020 amid COVID-19 restrictions, and syllabus cut.

Merit list will be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and in 2021 the engineering examination candidates will get four attempts to qualify for the JEE Main examination with the first session taking place from February 23 to 26.
